Hand cast encaustic crayons
2 panels at 12 x 12 inches each.
Using the same image and reversing the stacking sequence of the individual crayons has produced a two images that are the inverse of each other. Further, the words on each panel are also conceptual inversions (active-violent/passive-submissive). The image plays with the notion of the passive conscious and the more aggressive subconscious.
